Tumbling Teddy’s Cottage Child Care Centre is a privately owned, purpose built centre, licensed with the NSW Government Department of Education Communities (DEC). The Centre is regularly visited by DEC to ensure that the highest standard of Early Childhood Education and Care for your child is maintained.
Tumbling Teddy’s Cottage Child Care Centre opened on May 17th 2004 and caters for the needs of 29 children per day aged from birth to 6 years. The quality of Early Childhood Education and Care provided is of the highest standard.
Two very important extra benefits in the delivery of the service, sets Tumbling Teddy’s Cottage apart from the rest.
1. Additional qualified staff: All staff at the centre are Tertiary qualified, trained and experienced “Children’s Services Employees”. There will be two staff members working in 0-2 yrs room (Cubs Room) and three staff members in 3-5 yrs room (Bears Room).
The Nominated Supervisor will be a floater in both rooms. All teaching staff are trained and certified in:
- Children’s Services Qualifications.
- Apply Senior First Aid.
- Emergency Asthma Management.
- First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis.
2. The Director of the centre will be a non teaching Director. This will allow him to attend to the management and administrative duties and ensure that the teachers can focus solely on the education and care of the children. It also means that there will be an extra staff member on the premises during the day. Along with management qualifications, the Director is also qualified and trained in the following:
- Apply Senior First Aid
- Emergency Asthma Management.
- First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis
- Menu Planning
- Safe Food Handling
